This is the same argument they raised again open source code in general eg. Linux. Today Linux is the backbone of internet running 70% of servers. Is there a risk or problem with that? It seems they want to keep control, so that they can keep making and charging for this.

If there is no opensource, then they can increase the subscription fees whenever they want. Anthropic wont be a giant company in coming years, as AI itself will destroy the edge of antrhopic. Like deepseek, a new cheap model will come to compete with claude.
