Coins
You earn coins only in these cases: • Daily + survive 2048: 4 coins • Daily without surviving 2048: 2 coins • Practice + survive 2048: 1 coin Coins can be used to buy feature upgrades.
Emoji cost codes
• Emojis represent numbers: 0, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500. • The order is: after red, always orange, then yellow, green, blue, violet, red again... but the starting one changes, for example: ☀️, 🍏, 💧, 🍇, ❤️, 🍊. • So between green 🍏 and blue 💧, the green 🍏 will usually be smaller, except when the code is 💧, 🍇, ❤️, 🍊, ☀️, 🍏. • If today 🍏=500, then “🍏 + 123” is 623.
Awesome score
“Awesome: Yes” means your total cost was low compared to the answer’s cost (the sum of the 5 letter costs in the answer). You get awesome if YourCost ≤ c × AnswerCost, where c depends on AnswerCost:

Playing 2048?
• Move up, down, left or right. • Two equal numbers merge to give the next tile (2+2=4, etc.). • If no moves remain, you lose. • Tiles earned in 2048 are consumed and disappear to go to your word guesses, in order: the first letter first, then the second one. You pay for each letter used, even if you already knew it was green. Reach cost 3000 and you lose. • Your 2048 score is the sum of tiles in the grid. You can enable or disable 2048 here or in the menu.

Streak protectors
• Streak protectors are for the Daily puzzle only. • You earn 1 streak protector each time your daily streak reaches 30, 60, 90… days. • Winning a Daily puzzle while surviving 2048 counts as 1 extra day toward your next streak protector. • If you miss days and your streak would break, you can spend streak protectors to repair it. • Using x streak protectors can fix a break of x days.
