Is CatchCat free?
Yes — the core game is free to download and play, with optional ads and in-app purchases (CatchCat Pro, snack packs, cosmetics). Snack cans recharge on their own; Pro speeds recharge and raises your can cap.
What platforms is it available on?
CatchCat supports Android and iOS. Store availability may vary by region while each platform rollout is in progress.
How does a scan work?
Frame a real cat with the live in-app camera, drag the snack can, and release in the green zone. Initial verification runs on your device; confirmed sightings may upload photos and derived data for sync, moderation, and your album. See the Privacy Policy for details.
What are snack cans?
Snack cans are your scan supply. Each verified sighting uses one can and gives you three throw tries. Cans recharge on their own over time, and CatchCat Pro recharges them faster with a higher cap. You can also earn bonus cans through rewarded ads or grab packs in the store.
Can I use photos from my gallery?
No. Sightings use the live camera only. CatchCat is about meeting real cats in the moment, so there's no gallery import.
What are the rarity tiers?
Every keepsake gets one of five tiers: Alley, Garden, Moonlit, Velvet, or Golden. Higher tiers are rarer, glow brighter in your album, and award more XP.
What is the community sightings map?
The map shows cats logged by players worldwide. Walk close to a pin, preview the sighting in a 3D room, and land the snack to add a linked keepsake. Important: map cats are community sightings. They are not physically at that location.
What is Alley Clash?
Alley Clash is CatchCat's upcoming competitive mode. Your keepsakes double as cat cards with Snack and Charm stats, types, and keyword abilities. The Fight tab currently shows a coming-soon preview. Share your ideas on the feedback page.
Do I need an internet connection?
Initial scanning works on-device. You need a connection to sync catches, use social features, browse the community map, and complete server-side steps after verification.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Open Settings in the app and tap Feedback, or visit catchcat.lol/feedback. You can upvote community ideas or send a bug report straight to the team.
