##

Control your mouse at the pace of your keyboard

Cursor Crane brings common mouse and trackpad actions back to your keyboard: targeting, clicking, scrolling, and window switching all become keyboard-driven.

Instead of letting a mouse action interrupt your train of thought, move to the next control, a precise spot on screen, or another window with the same pace and focus you use to type.

Jump straight to a target with hints

Cursor Crane labels clickable elements and navigable windows with hints, so you can type a hint and jump straight to the target instead of slowly steering the cursor there.

1. Look at your target Which element? 2. Choose the action you want to perform Move? Click? 3. Type the hint to perform it That is all.

Directly control cursor movement

Mouse Control Mode is your fallback when other modes cannot pinpoint a target: use the keyboard to move the cursor in an intuitive, direct way.

Pinpoint a location with a grid

Grid Mode breaks a large area into smaller choices, so each keypress brings the cursor closer to the exact spot.

Find visible text directly

When your target is text, Find Mode helps you locate it quickly. Type what you can see to narrow down the target you want.

Keep the same rhythm across apps

Does your workflow span multiple apps? Element Mode and Scroll Mode can identify targets across multiple windows, so you can complete actions without switching windows first.

Window Mode gives you a quick, consistent way to switch windows, while Adjust Mode lets you freely arrange your window layout.

Take multiple actions from the Element Menu

Want to copy a link you see? Element Menu Mode can reveal an element’s contents, making links and other details easy to identify and copy. There is more to explore, too.

Text with shortcuts and portals

Input Mode gives you keyboard shortcuts for moving, selecting, finding, and editing text. When a field needs a more capable editor, open it through a Text Area Portal, edit it in your preferred app, and save the changes straight back.

Hand repeated steps to scripts

Form Action

Bring inputs, choices, and live results into one native panel, turning a script into a small tool you can keep using.

Every mode has its own job

Each mode is responsible for one kind of task. Think of them as different ways to grab what you need, so you can call on the right one without memorizing one huge workflow.

Command Mode The default entry point for triggering actions and switching between modes. Mouse Control Mode Move the cursor anywhere on screen, click, scroll, and extend into gestures. Element Mode Jump directly to clickable targets and make the “find the target” step faster. Element Menu Mode Inspect a window or element, copy useful details, and continue into deeper actions. Element Burst Mode Extract text and trigger available actions from the element you already selected. Find Mode Use OCR to find visible text in the current window and jump directly to it. Grid Mode Break large areas into smaller target zones so you can balance speed and precision. Adjust Mode Resize and move windows, splitters, and sliders with keyboard-driven adjustments. Window Mode Jump between windows and menu bar items with less attention switching. Scroll Mode Lock onto the right scrollable region first, then keep scrolling from the keyboard. Input Mode Temporarily return to normal typing without breaking the overall workflow.

Choose the usage style that fits you

Command Mode can fit into different working habits. You do not have to decide on one “correct” way to use it from day one. Start with what feels most natural, then refine your layout, command sequences, and shortcuts over time.

  • Stay active
  • Hold temporarily
  • Shortcut first
  • Best for extended keyboard-first work: activate the Claw Machine once, then release the shortcut and leave it on.
  • Switch modes and enter commands as you go. Most everyday controls and modifier shortcuts, such as Esc, the arrow keys, and Command-C, still work in the foreground app.
  • When you need to type, enter Input Mode or exit the Claw Machine.
  • A good fit for quick, one-off actions such as clicking a target or scrolling a section.
  • Keep at least one key from the activation shortcut held while you work; release them all when you are done to return to normal input.
  • It keeps the Claw Machine out of the way, so you do not need to enter Input Mode for a brief task.
  • Bind any command to a shortcut and run it without first opening the Claw Machine yourself.
  • When an action needs a target, the shortcut opens the relevant selection flow, performs the command after you choose, then exits automatically.
  • Great for actions you repeat often; reserve shortcuts for the ones worth learning and avoid conflicts with your existing keys.
