Is this just another job board?
No. We don’t list jobs publicly and we don’t sell a searchable database. Job Lobster is a private workbench: you upload your resume, it scans public ATS feeds for roles that genuinely fit, and gives you the tools and an agent to move on them.
How is the scoring different from TealHQ, Huntr, or Simplify?
Those tools score jobs on keyword-density against your resume. Job Lobster runs a structured matcher that pulls must-haves, partials, and explicit dealbreakers, then applies gap-ceilings so missing requirements actually cap the score. A role where you’re missing a hard must-have will never show as 9/10 here.
What does the agent actually do?
Your personal agent remembers your profile and pipeline, finds and scores roles, drafts tailored materials and follow-ups, and prepares you for interviews. It does not submit applications or send messages as you without explicit approval.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your resume, intake answers, and drafts are yours. You can export everything as JSON from Setup, or delete your account in one click. Third-party AI model providers process the LLM calls; Resend sends your emails; Fly.io hosts the app. None of them get your data for training, and we don’t share it.
What can I do for free?
You can take the quiz, use the free tools, download resume templates, and get useful previews without a card. Upgrade to Pro when you want the full active-search workflow.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Billing is Stripe-hosted, self-serve. Cancel from the in-app portal and your plan downgrades at the end of the period — no fees, no retention calls.
Do you lock me into one AI model?
No. Job Lobster is model-agnostic. Different workflows use the model path that fits the task, and the public promise is the result: honest scoring, useful drafts, and clear approval gates.
How much time does this actually save?
A tailored application package is drafted in minutes, then held for your review. The exact time saved varies by role and how much you edit, but the goal is simple: review a grounded first draft instead of starting every resume, cover letter, and follow-up from a blank page.
