Paper size defines the map scale when printed or inserted into a document. Auto fits the sheet to the selected area. A4 is the standard print size for home and office (recommended).

How is the map scale set?

Scale is derived automatically from paper size and the selected area. For a tighter scale (e.g. 1:5000), reduce the area or pick a larger sheet (A2/A1/A0). For a wider scale (1:50 000 or smaller), pick a smaller sheet or a larger area.

Practical scale range for the selected format: 1:1000 — 1:100 000.
