I only build 2 types of startups now: 1) AI-proof in 10 years. My startup marketplace (TrustMRR) can be cloned with a prompt, but a network of 20K buyers can’t. Trust compounds over time. 2) Trends. Anything hot on tech Twitter this month. GEO, new AI models, it can be anything, as long as people are actively talking about it. I also have a 3rd filter: I build products I’m curious about. Or, even better, products I use myself.

I've already asked this question @robj3d3 now I want to ask you, Marc How would you act if you started from scratch?
Marc Lou @marclou

Why does #2 make the cut? It seems the completely opposite of #1 where you’re focusing on the long term. Is it to take advantage of your distribution?
Marc Lou @marclou
Most startups are like that. They raise money Grow real fast Sell fast for high multiple

1) without audience is unreal 2) hype train. yeah, now is possible to create for 1 week. but next step especially for hype is audience 3) it's ok. so, firstly need to get audience 🗿

how do you really know what's AI proof in 10 years though?
Marc Lou @marclou
You can't prompt a building You can't prompt trust You can't prompt a friendship You can't prompt a meal

Does it mean that some of your companies are designed to last, some are not ?
Eugen @eugen_nikolajev
But how do you know whats ai proof? I mean in 10 years a lot of things will change, and maybe there will be no buyers needed because software will be just personal agent doing things

Thinking about no2 and that Levels did that all his carrier. He followed trends or even made them in a way in the indie dev niche.

Also, if you build something you use, you will fix bugs before other people notice them
Jared James @jaredjames_
That’s three ;) products you use yourself is a big one these days for me.
