BLITZ Kill processes without the pain. Tired of chaining ps aux | grep | awk | xargs kill? Tired of not knowing which process is hogging your port? Tired of manually confirming kills one by one? BLITZ does it all in one command. Fast. Safe. Beautiful. Install git clone https://github.com/hunzo1/blitz.git cd blitz pip install -e . On Termux? Install psutil first: pkg install python-psutil -y git clone https://github.com/hunzo1/blitz.git cd blitz pip install -e . Now bz works from anywhere. Usage bz # Show all processes (readable format) bz top # Top 10 processes by memory bz kill chrome # Kill all chrome (asks before killing) bz kill chrome -f # Force kill without asking bz port 8080 # Find what's using port 8080 bz watch java # Watch a process in real-time bz info 1234 # Full details on process ID 1234 bz tree # See process family tree bz stats # System CPU, RAM, disk stats Why BLITZ? Safe. Won't let you nuke critical processes. Always asks before killing. Fast. One command instead of five. Beautiful. Colors, bars, actual readable output instead of walls of text. Real-time. Watch processes as they happen. No context switching. The killer feature: $ bz port 8080 Found: node (PID 1234) Kill? [y/N]: y ✓ Killed node Done. No lsof syntax memorization needed. How it works BLITZ reads from /proc (Linux) and uses psutil for cross-platform compatibility. It scores processes by CPU/memory usage, formats output with colors, and provides safe kill mechanisms with confirmations. Requirements
Python 3.7+ psutil (pip or your package manager)
Performance Lists 100+ processes in <100ms. Kills instantly. Real-time monitoring updates every 2 seconds (configurable). Known limitations Some process info requires elevated privileges (use sudo bz if needed). Sandboxing may limit some system info, but core features work fine everywhere.
BLITZ. Process management, the way it should be.
