The hill we'll die on
Every other tool is investing in the model. We're investing in the craft of writing.
As writing software gets more and more focused on AI, EnsembleWriter stays focused on getting the most creative, most focused version of you onto the page.
The ideas
No generate button. No ghost text finishing your sentence. The cursor waits as long as you need it to.
The draft
We don't train models on what you write. Work offline and it never leaves your device at all.
The attention
Every detail is built to protect it. Nothing blinking in the margin, nothing competing with the writing.

What's inside
\[ focus mode: before / after \]
Focus mode
One keystroke and the chrome fades. Menus, panels, counters: gone. The page is all that's left.
\[ a formatted page \]
Formatting that reads your intent
Scene headings, action, character, dialogue: auto-detected as you type. You never stop to reach for a menu.
\[ the scene-arc graph, mid-drag \]
Visual scene arc
A drag-and-drop graph of your story, plus a character database. For the days you're staring at the wall.
\[ table read: nine voices \]
Table Read
Nine voices read your scenes aloud, so every clunky line reveals itself before it hits the page for real.
Offline first
Once it's loaded, no internet required. Runs from your device and syncs when you land.
Goals & streaks
Ensemble counts the words you write each day. Set a daily goal. Keep the chain alive.
Open a blank page.
Free, in the browser. Close the tab and the draft is still yours.
