El río Congo se origina como una corriente modesta en el altiplano zambiano, una corriente tranquila que no da indicación de la fuerza colosal que va a ser. The Congo River originates as a modest current in the Zambian altiplano, a tranquil stream that gives no indication of the colossal force it will become. At this altitude, the flora is abundant but not impenetrable: herbs, ferns, and acacias with long thorns form a natural corridor along the crystal waters. Elena contemplated the panorama with a mixture of reverence and anticipation. The river, in this initial form, seemed almost docile.
