Nonconsensual Intimate Imagery — Notice & Removal Policy
your platform (your site URL) prohibits the posting of intimate visual depictions of an identifiable individual published without that individual's consent, including computer-generated ("deepfake") depictions (collectively, "NCII"), as defined by the federal TAKE IT DOWN Act (Public Law 119-12).
How to request removal. If you are the depicted person or are authorized to act for them, send a removal request to your removal address , or use our report form, including:
1. A physical or electronic signature of the depicted individual or their authorized representative; 2. Identification of, and information reasonably sufficient to locate, the intimate visual depiction (a direct URL is best); 3. A brief statement of your good-faith belief that the depiction is not consensual, including any relevant information for us to determine that it was published without the depicted individual's consent; 4. Contact information sufficient for us to reach you about your request.
What we do. We will remove reported NCII as soon as possible and in any case within 48 hours of receiving a valid request, and we will make reasonable efforts to identify and remove identical copies of the reported depiction. You do not need an account on your platform to submit a request.
No retaliation; good faith. Submitting a report in good faith will never result in action against the reporter. Knowingly false reports may violate federal law.
This policy is provided in accordance with the TAKE IT DOWN Act's notice-and-removal requirements for covered platforms, enforced by the Federal Trade Commission.

Who has to comply with the TAKE IT DOWN Act?
A “covered platform” is a website, app or online service that primarily provides a forum for user-generated content or that in the regular course of business publishes intimate visual depictions. The FTC names social media, messaging, image and video sharing, and gaming services. A platform's size is not a defence.
What makes a removal request valid?
A valid request comes from the depicted person or an authorised representative in writing and carries a physical or electronic signature, information sufficient to locate the depiction, a good-faith statement that it was published without consent, and contact details. The TrustDesk form collects exactly those four things.
What happens if we miss the 48 hours?
The FTC treats a failure to remove a valid report within 48 hours as an unfair or deceptive act or practice. Civil penalties reach $53,088 per violation. Anyone can report a non-compliant platform directly to the FTC at TakeItDown.ftc.gov.
Is the policy generator really free?
Yes. Give us your platform name, URL and a contact address to get the policy text plus a footer snippet to paste, with no account and no card. You can host the text wherever you like because it is yours to keep. We hold the email so we can tell you if the rules change.
What is the difference between the kit and the hosted desk?
The $19 kit is bought once and includes your own hosted report form, the policy text, the footer snippet, and an operator email whenever somebody reports something. The $5-a-month desk adds the parts that have to keep running: a 48-hour deadline on every report, an hourly sweep that escalates anything close to the line, and an append-only evidence log.
How long does setup take?
Setup takes minutes. Checkout gives you a report link for your platform, the policy text and the footer snippet. Paste the link into your footer to receive reports. You do not install anything or use an SDK.
