Um.
You have something to say, with a few too many ums along the way. Turn on hesitation cleanup: AutoTrim finds and removes them, right on your machine. Listen to the preview before moving on to your edit.

Want that breath back? Keep it.
Your original files stay intact. In your editor, drag the edge of a clip to bring a breath back or adjust a cut.

Just want the cleaned-up video? Export an MP4 per source. To keep editing in CapCut, take the cut clips and drop them in order.
Super intuitive, with previews that help a lot.

The takes line up.
Sound, duration, recording time and metadata: AutoTrim combines the clues to find files from the same take. That includes isolated Riverside podcast tracks, where each track contains only one guest’s voice.
Keep every speaker’s voice.
AutoTrim cuts when nobody speaks. One guest’s um stays if someone else is speaking at the same time. Listen to each mic on its own to check.
The preview follows the conversation.
Match the cameras to the speakers: the preview switches to whoever is talking, or to the wide shot when voices overlap.
When you start editing, every angle and mic is on its own track, synced and cut together. The primary angle is active; the others are available for you to choose your shots.
I record 2–3 hour podcast episodes with multiple guests. AutoTrim saves me at least 2 hours of editing per episode.

Your footage is already in the right place.
On your drive. Drop it into AutoTrim and get started without waiting for an upload. After the initial model download, cleanup works offline: client projects and unreleased videos stay on your machine.
No upload. No waiting on your connection.
On my DSL connection the upload is a huge waste of time. AutoTrim saves me one to two hours per project.

I edit in Final Cut by hand. I tried Descript and OpusClip, but on my DSL connection the upload is a huge waste of time. AutoTrim saves me one to two hours per project.

I record 2–3 hour podcast episodes with multiple guests. AutoTrim cuts out all the dead air automatically and saves me at least 2 hours of editing per episode.

I tried other tools, but none really worked. With AutoTrim the UX is clean, it does exactly what you want, no fluff. At least an hour saved on every project.

It makes the whole derushing process lighter, and the speed is shocking: gigabytes in seconds. Super intuitive, with previews that help a lot.

Mac and Windows?
Yes, both. No Linux build.
Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve?
Yes: FCPXML for Final Cut Pro and Resolve, XML for Premiere Pro. One timeline, all your files end to end, every clip with its handles.
Do my files leave my computer?
No, never. The models download once, then everything happens on your machine, even offline.
What if it cuts too much?
The preview shows three states, kept, silence, hesitation, and you can listen to what was removed. Adjust the threshold, run again, then export: every cut stays editable in your editing software.
My podcast has one mic per person?
Yes. AutoTrim only cuts when nobody speaks, never two voices at once, and one person's "um" only goes if the other is silent.
Several cameras?
AutoTrim combines sound, durations and recording metadata to find files from the same take. Shared sound lets it measure offsets and clock drift between devices. Without shared sound, as with isolated Riverside tracks, matching start times and durations can also bring the files together. The app flags groups that need checking; you can view the angles in a mosaic, listen to each mic and adjust the sync. The preview can follow the speaker, and export keeps angles and mics on separate tracks, synced and cut together.
Which languages are hesitations detected in?
About ten languages, including English and French. Silences have no language.
Screen recordings (OBS, VLC, QuickTime), variable frame rate?
Supported. The real duration is kept, so the timeline lands right.
No editing software, or CapCut?
Take the video already cut, one MP4 per source. For CapCut, one numbered clip per cut, to drop in order.
Audio only?
Yes, same processing. Export as AAC or as a timeline.
What does the free version include?
Everything, with no time limit: silences, hesitations, multicam, preview. Only the export needs a licence.
How many machines, and what if it's not for me?
Two machines per licence. Refunded within 14 days, no questions asked.
