Do we both need a paid plan?
Each subscription is for one parent. You can use Coach, your private journal, and PDF exports before your co-parent joins. Shared messaging and recorded calls currently require both people to have accounts. Your co-parent’s decision does not disable your own tools.
Is this only for high-conflict co-parenting?
No. Mellow Family is for the everyday work of raising children between homes: schedules, expenses, support records, and clear communication. When conversations are difficult, permanent message records and optional Coach suggestions can help you stay organized.
Does MellowPay send child-support payments?
MellowPay keeps track of support, extra expenses, responses, and payments made outside Mellow Family. It does not move money, calculate a legal support obligation, or replace your agreement or order.
What does a verified export establish?
A matching fingerprint identifies the exported snapshot. A successfully verified independent timestamp provides evidence that its fingerprint existed by the stated time. Neither proves that a statement is true or guarantees how a court will treat a record.
Who can see my records?
Family-space members can see shared sections. Your private journal stays under your control. Professionals receive read-only access to the sections you explicitly share; they do not automatically receive your whole family space.
Can I start without a credit card?
Yes. Start a 30-day trial with no card. Then choose $60 billed annually ($5 a month equivalent) or $7 billed monthly, per parent. There is no automatic charge. If you do not subscribe, your account becomes read-only and existing records stay accessible.
