ses sandbox limits and warming up a new sending domain are what bite people first. does mailcheap handle throttling or is that on the user

Marc Lou @marclou author
My domain is warm already so I didnβt build it but make sure you send slowly at first yes
1 prompt and itβs fixed

Dan β‘οΈ @d4m1n
If it's not fast I dont use it

Do both open source and cloud

Marc Lou @marclou author
plz dont make me do it π

Nathan Tulu @nathan_tulu
@grok or folks, how is this better than Listmonk? Genuinely asking because it's also FOSS, and I was just set it up today

Sachin @sachintwtss
Self hosted on SES at that price is a really nice deal. Does the editor output plain HTML, or do you handle email client quirks some other way?

Bratislav Baljak @baljakb
Omg did you make this??? Full open source? Saving

Tyler @techbyhez
you forgot to upload the .env

Zdehasek @zdehassek
And now, rewrite it to rust

Alessandro Moretti @Moretti_ale90
Open-sourcing it also answers who maintains it: everyone who self-hosts. I'm curious how many will run it themselves and how many will ask you to host it for them.

Hakimi Eiqbal @hakimieiqbal
self-hosted newsletters at $0.10 per 1k emails is a strong pitch

Thanx bro

Daniel Wilson Kemp @DWKemp
Nice move open-sourcing it. The $0.10 per 1,000 is the easy part. Bounce and complaint handling is where people get burned, since SES can pause your sending if complaint rates creep up. Auto-suppressing those addresses off the webhook is the feature that saves you.

jsunnn @jsunnn
open sourcing the replacement means the next person can skip the breakup project.
